Lowell Dennis Daniels – June 18, 1948 – February 25, 2012

Life Legacy

Sioux Falls- Lowell "Danny" D. Daniels, 63, died on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at Sanford USD Medical Center.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 1, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls with burial at Hillside Cemetery in Lester, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Lowell Dennis Daniels was born on June 18, 1948 in Sioux Falls, SD to Lowell L. and Shirley J. (Myrlie) Daniels. He was raised and received his education in Brandon, SD. In 1967 he was united in marriage with Dianne Jean Marbus. The couple were blessed with three daughters.

Lowell wore many hats in his working career; from beginning as a farmer/ welder, owning and operating numerous businesses such as Dan and Dees Coins, DCI Galleries, a gas station and a limousine; to finally his twenty year career with Sam's Club. He started as a regional marketing manager then managed a Sam's Club in Great Falls, MT before coming back to Sioux Falls and retiring three years ago.

Lowell was a man of deep faith and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. He lived life to the fullest in every way enjoying gardening, fishing, golfing, raising exotic birds, flying his own airplane, going to car races, eating fine foods and drinking fine wines. He also took great pride in his community; being a strong advocate for the growth and development of downtown Sioux Falls. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be dearly missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his three daughters, Dawn (Thad) Wells, Sioux Falls, Sandra (Joseph) Bonham, Sioux Falls, and Pamela (Greg) Jensen, The Dalles, OR; eight grandchildren, Crystalyn, Katarina, Thaddeus, Anthony and Zachary Wells all of Sioux Falls, Rachel Hall, Tampa, FL, Molly and Daniel Bonham of Sioux Falls; seven siblings, John Daniels, Sioux Falls, Greg (Janet) Daniels, Hudson, OH, Tom (Jan) Daniels, Chattanooga, TN, Debbie (Gerald) Muston, Topak, AZ, David (Merlina) Daniels, Dell City, OK, Chuck (Jeri) Daniels, Topak, AZ and Jackie Daniels, Sioux Falls; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parent
