Norma Rogers-Rockhill, 71, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Lyon Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Rapids.

Services were Friday at United Methodist Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Norma Coyne was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Ethan, S.D., the daughter of Emmett and Doris (Sullivan) Coyne. She grew up and attended country school near Rock Rapids, graduating from Rock Rapids High School in 1950. She worked in several clerical positions in Rock Rapids, including working as a legal secretary for Hindt & Casjens Law Firm.

On April 5, 1953, she married Roy "Pete" Rogers in Rock Rapids. They lived in Rock Rapids and owned and operated Pete's Apco Service Station. She also worked for Iowa Department of Transportation 21 years.

Her husband died in 1994. She retired from the department of transportation in 1996.

On Dec. 7, 1996, she married Milton Rockhill in Rock Rapids. They lived in Larchwood. She became a resident of Lyon Manor in 1998.

At United Methodist Church, she was a member of Ladies' Aid and Misfits Circle. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Rock Rapids and Edgemont, Ark.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Jeffrey of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. David (Dori) Rogers-Hrdlicka of Chamberlain, S.D., Cindy of Shakopee, Minn., and Cheri of Rock Rapids; nine stepchildren; five grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Thomas and Charles, both of Sioux Falls, S.D., and three sisters, Marcella Hoffman of Salem, S.D., Mrs. Robert (Helen) Newman of Placerville, Calif., and Mrs. Paul (Elaine) Aurit of Sioux Falls.
