Beaver Creek, Minnesota - Margaret Krull, age 97, of Beaver Creek, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth, Minnesota.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, Jan. 21st at American Reformed Church in Luverne, Minnesota, with Rev. Mike Altena officiating. Burial will be Hope Reformed Cemetery in rural George, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 20th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, with the family present at Jurrens Funeral Home of Hills.

Margaret Anna Krull was born on June 25, 1915 on a farm near George, Iowa, the daughter of Dick and Trena (Goldhorn) Siebrands. She grew up in George, where she attended Country School and two years of High School.

She was united in marriage to Henry Krull Jr. on December 22, 1939, at the Hope Reformed Church, George, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived on a farm between George and Little Rock, Iowa. In 1942, Henry and Margaret moved to their farm in Edna where they spent the next nineteen years. In 1961, they moved to a farm near Luverne, Minnesota and in 1965 they moved to a farm by Beaver Creek, Minnesota. After sixty-one years of marriage Margaret’s husband Henry died on June 5, 2001.

In November of 2007, Margaret moved to Premier Estates assisted living in Rock Rapids, Iowa. On February 1, 2011, Margaret moved to Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth, Minnesota, where this past Friday, January 18, 2013 she died peacefully at the age of ninety-seven years, six months and twenty-four days of age. Margaret was always found helping Henry on the farm doing chores and field work. She made many quilts, book markers and dish cloths for her family. Margaret liked to be outdoors and enjoyed doing yard work. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Donna Popkes of Little Rock, Iowa and Robert (Marilyn) Krull of Beaver Creek, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Wendy (Mark) Leemkuil of Little Rock, Iowa, Dorene (Kim Joe) Chapa, Darrin (Nancy) Popkes, Gaylon Popkes, Dawn (Korey) Meester all of Ellsworth, Minnesota, Melinda (Shane) DeLeeuw of George, Iowa, Rachel (Kevin) Breidenbach of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Randy (Loraea) Krull of Beaver Creek, Minnesota; eighteen great-grandchildren, Marissa, Maranda and Mariah Leemkuil, Lizzie and Kallie Chapa, Megan, Dalton and Claire Popkes, Brian and Tyler Popkes, Paige, Cole and Ashlyn Meester, Collin, Kyle and Carly DeLeeuw, and Carson and Tenley Breidenbach; two sisters, Leota Gerken of George, Iowa and LaVonne (Alfred) Klaassen of Luverne, Minnesota; and many nieces, nephew and other extended family.

Preceding Margaret in death was her parents; husband, Henry; son-in-law, Murnice Popkes; one grandson Merlyn Popkes; one sister, Elvina Siebrands; and three brothers, Ben, Lawrence and Richard Siebrands.
