LARCHWOOD, Iowa -- Gene "Mick" Maurer, 73, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, formerly of Larchwood, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at his residence.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at United Church of Christ in Larchwood. Graveside services will be 9:45 a.m. Saturday in Hillside Cemetery, Lester, Iowa.

Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Jurrens Funeral Home in Larchwood.
