Ruth Bernice (Lovett) Hardie

April 19, 1920 – April 5, 1990

Ruth B. Hardie, 69, of 713 S. Conklin Ave., died Thursday at her home.

Ruth Lovett was born April 19, 1920, in Sioux Falls. She grew up in Sioux Falls and was graduated from Washington High School. She married Virgil Hardie on June 11, 1939, in Sioux Falls.

She was involved with home child care for many years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Her husband died in 1974.

Survivors include a son, David, Mitchell; a daughter; Mrs. Wallace (Rita) Osgood, Brandon; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister; Gennevieve Clark.

Memorial services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Wesley United Methodist church. The family will receive friends at 713 S. Conklin Ave. Sunday afternoon and evening. The body has been donated to science.
George Boom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
