WM. DENGLER DIES AT 79, SERVICES HELD ON MONDAY

Funeral services for William Dengler, 79 year old, long time Lyon County farmer, were held Monday afternoon at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lester. Mr. Dengler died at his home in Lester last Thursday, September 27, 1951, following a long period of declining health.

Rev. James T Wolfram conducted the funeral rites. Burial was made in Riverview Cemetery at Rock Rapids, with Lockwood’s in charge of arrangements. Six grandsons served as pallbearers; Alvin Dengler; Elmer Dengler; Marian Vogel; Vyron Wacker; Harlan Berg; and Leon Bobolz.

William Dengler was born October 8, 1871 in Iowa, the son of Andrew Dengler and Henriette (Eckhoff) Dengler.

He married Cecelia Laackmann, the daughter of Henry and Cecile (Bishop) Laackmann. His wife died March 2, 1916.

He married Elsie (Albrecht) Lauck, the widow of William C. Lauck.
