Joseph Bernard Sullivan – September 30, 1920 – April 21, 2003

Joseph Sullivan, 82, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died Monday April 21, 2003, at Southridge Health Care Center.

Funeral mass was Friday at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Canton, South Dakota, with interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mr.Sullivan was born September 30, 1920, near Worthing, South Dakota, the son of Robert and Mary (Duffy) Sullivan. He began his education near Worthing.

His family moved to Alvord in 1927 and he graduated from school there in 1938. He attended Chicago Technical Institute where he studied mechanical drawing. He served in the army during World War II, the worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 1980.

In 1975 he married Marian Kippley Inglebert. They lived in Sioux Falls, Canton and Judson, South Dakota. His wife died in 1997.

Survivors include one brother, Robert of Alvord, and three stepchildren, Ruth, Bill and Ted Inglebert, all of Rapid City, South Dakota.
