Elizabeth Ann (Dreesen) Chateauneuf – December 15, 1940 – April 23, 2003

Elizabeth Chateauneuf , 62, of Sheldon died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Memorial services were Saturday at First Baptist Church, Rural George with interment in the church cemetery.

Elizabeth Dreesen was born December 15, 1940, in Rock Rapids, the daughter of Abel and Mattie (Kruse) Dreesen. She grew up and attended school in the Rock Rapids area, then served in the army.

On July 7, 1971, she married Gary Chateauneuf in Worthington, Minnesota.

Survivors include one son, Gary of New Haven, Michigan; two daughters Mrs. Jason (Tyanne) Kruger of Sheldon and Tia Steel of Seymour, Indiana; six grandchildren; one brother Ben of Sheldon; and three sisters; Mrs. John (Alvira) Mammenga and Mrs. Daniel (Audrey) Jeeninga, both of Little Rock; and Irene Krull of Hometown, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers and two sisters.
