Henry Harry Bramstedt --Aapril 30, 1917 – December 16, 2010

Henry Bramstedt, 93, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center, South Dakota.

Funeral services were held at Heritage Funeral Home at 57th and Minnesota Ave. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Dec. 20, 2010.
Honorary pallbearers were Annette Bramstedt, Renee Cahoy and Alan Heksem. Casketbearers were Paul Dubbelde, Brian Bramstedt, Don Dubbelde, Michael Bramstedt, Gene Engelman, Barry Branstedt and Dale Engelman. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls.

Henry Harry Bramstedt was born on a farm near Alvord, Iowa on April 30, 1917, the son of Henry and Adela (Schemmel) Bramstedt. He grew up there and graduated from Alvord High School.

On January 15, 1949 he was united in marriage to Anna Wheelhouse in Sioux Falls.

Following their marriage they moved to a farm near Alvord, Iowa. In 1965 they moved to their farm east of Harrisburg where he had since lived. His wife preceded him in death on February 7, 2008, ending a marriage of over 59 years.

Henry was a member of Springdale Lutheran Church, rural Sioux Falls and had been a member of the Moose Lodge for several years.

Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Kathleen Bramstedt, on March 5, 2010; three brothers: Louie, George and Edward Bramstedt; four sisters: Dora Bramstedt, Tillie Stetnick, Elsie Stetnick and Minnie Dubbelde. Henry was the last surviving member of the Henry and Adela Bramstedt family.

Grateful for having shared his life are his three sons: Wayne Bramstedt and his wife, Alice, of Harrisburg, Myron Bramstedt and special friend, Camron Weber, of Sioux Falls and Larry Bramstedt of Harrisburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
