SIOUX FALLS, SD— Evelyn Elizabeth Dempster, 91, died Wednesday,August18, at Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral service was held at Halladay-Peterson Chapel, Dow Rummel Village, Sioux
Falls. Burial was in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Alvord, Iowa.

Evelyn Elizabeth Schemmel was born, at Rock Rapids, IA. She lived with her family in Rock Rapids until moving to Doon in 1929. She received her education in Doon, graduating from Doon High School in 1936. Following high school, she moved to Sioux Falls and attended Nettleton Commercial College, graduating in 1938. She was employed as the officer manager for Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz and Smith Law Firm for over 37 years, retiring in 1981. On March 30, 1996, she married Adrian Dempster in Sioux Falls.

Survivors include her stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
