Harold Langfeldt, 83, of Austin, Texas, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at South Austin Hospital.

Services were Friday at Christ Lutheran Church, Alvord, with interment in the church cemetery.

Mr. Langfeldt was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Rock Rapids, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Langfeldt. He attended school in Alvord, then served in the armed forces during World War II from 1942-45.

He and his wife, Marguerite lived in Rock Rapids. She preceded him in death.

He later moved to Texas and married Irene Hicks.

He was a 57-year member of American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, William of Rock Rapids and Freddie of Alvord; one sister, Mrs. Ron (Betty) Hasche of Rock Rapids; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Gary (Diana) Anderson of Florida and Minnesota, and Mrs. Jim (Donna) Rogers of Bastrop, Texas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and one sister, Dorothy Langfeldt.
