Mrs. Lucille Knebel passed away Thursday, December 7, 1950 at St Luke’s Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota, following a lingering illness.

Lucille Fey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Fey, was born February 9, 1879 in Gottenberg, Iowa, and was 71 years, 9 months and 8 days of age at the time of her death. When a small child she moved to Hull, Iowa where she grew up to womanhood.

On January 29, 1914 in Moorhead, Minnesota, she was married to Lawrence Knebel, who preceded her in death. After their marriage they farmed at Twin Valley, Minnesota, and a year later moved to Alexandria, where they have lived since.

Mrs. Knebel is survived by two daughters: Mrs. William (Lorraine) Beery of Alexandria and Luetta Knebel of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two grandchildren, two brothers: Adam Fie of George, Iowa and William B, Fie of Des Moines, Iowa; She was preceded in death by one son, Norman, who passed away in infancy and her husband, three sisters and four brothers.

Interment was in the Hull Hope Cemetery on Monday with Rev. I.F. Hayenga in charge of a short committal service.

Attending from here were; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fie, Mr. and Mrs. G.R. Fie, Dr. G.B. Winch, Don Fie, Miss Fern Fie and Mrs. Velma Lochard.
