J.L. Dixon, age 84, of Glendale, California, father of Mrs. A.M. Dochnahl of George, Iowa, passed away on July 6, 1951 at a Los Angeles hospital.

Mr. Dixon, who had been in very good health, was taken ill with bowel obstruction, which necessitated an operation, which apparently was more than he could stand, due to his advanced age.

The body will be sent to Madison, South Dakota, and funeral services and interment will be held there on Friday of this week.

The deceased is survived by five sons and three daughters.
