Earleene Timmer, 80, of George died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at a Sioux Falls, S.D. hospital.

Services were Wednesday at Lyon County First Presbyterian Church, rural George, with interment in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery.

Earleene Chadwick was born July 21, 1921, near George, the daughter of Leslie and Kate (Damm) Chadwick. She attended country school.

On Oct. 14, 1940, she married William Timmer. They farmed in the George area, retiring and moving into George in 1984.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Leslie of George; three daughters, Mrs. Daryl (Lorene) Wessels of George, Diana Kruse of Brandon, S.D., and Kathy Timmer of Washington, D.C.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Lorin Chadwick of George.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shirley Bruns, and one granddaughter, Robin Wessels.
