Obituary: Inwood, Iowa. Betty Kock, 81, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 surrounded by her family at Sanford Medical Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. Funeral service was held Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood with burial at Richland Cemetery.

Betty Maxine Wolfe was born August 11, 1927 to Ralph and Florence (Gillespie) Wolfe in LeMars, Iowa. Her family moved to Inwood in 1936 where she graduated from Inwood High School. Betty was united in marriage to Glenn Kock on March 4, 1948 in Inwood. She worked various jobs which included the cafe, post office, Little Johns Grocery, Model Dry Goods and Hardware Hank. Glenn died February 12, 1988. Betty moved to Fellowship Village on January 1, 2009.

Betty is survived by her children: 3 daughters: Wendy (Larry) Kewley of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Amy (Kelly) Bebensee of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Mary (Tony) Kerkvliet of Larchwood, Iowa; 1 son, Mike (Stacy) Kock of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Belle Sanderson of Canton, South Dakota and Barbara Olson of Lakeside, California

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; 2 brothers-in-law: Don Sanderson and Arvid Olson.
