Percy Spyksma, 81, of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Rock Rapids Health Centre.

Services were Tuesday at First Reformed Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Mr. Spyksma was born December 15, 1921, near Rock Rapids, the son of John and Dora (Piersma) Spyksma. He grew up near Rock Rapids and attended country school. He farmed with his father and brother until 1969. In December 1974, he became a resident of Rock Rapids Health Centre.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Charles, an infant brother, August, another brother, August, and William, and one sister, Winnie Hoogendoorn.
