Funeral services for Grace L. Boggs, 99, of Mapleton, Iowa, were held December 4, 1992 in St. John’s United Methodist Church, Mapleton, with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City.

She died Monday, November 30, 1992 at the Maple Heights Nursing Home, Mapleton.

Grace Guile was born December 12, 1892, in Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa.

On November 13, 1929, she married Guy Boggs in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Sioux City. Her husband died in 1959 and she moved to California after his death. She later moved to Mapleton. In 1982, she entered the nursing home.

Survivors include two sons, Don Brennan of Burbank, California, and Lyle Brennan of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Mrs. Guyleen (Cleo) Tippery of Mapleton and Mrs. Stanley (Avon) Dawdy of Arleta, California; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest of Casper, Wyoming, and two sisters, Irene Rees of Greenville, Iowa and Ruth Hiebsen of Burbank, California.
