Funeral services for John Albert Bos, 96, of Ellsworth, Minnesota, were held December 3, 1992 at Bethel Reformed Church, rural Ellsworth, with interment in the church cemetery.

He died Monday, November 30, 1992 at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa.

Mr. Bos was born August 12, 1896, in Nieuw Beerta, Netherlands. When he was 4 years old, he moved with his family to the United States and settled in Ackley, Iowa. Later, the moved to Ellsworth, where he attended school at Midland #1 country school.

On February 18, 1920, he married Grace Aeilts in Little Rock, Lyon county, Iowa. They farmed in Minnesota for one year and then farmed south of Ellsworth for 28 years. In 1949, the moved into Ellsworth where they continued farming for a short time before he began driving truck for area farmers. He also did lawn mower repair for many years and retired at the age of 92.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Evelyn) Wilson of Winter Park, Florida, Mrs. Henry (Esther) Julius and Mrs. George (JoAnn) Ransom, both of Ellsworth, and Pauline Peterson of Bozeman, Montana; 12 grand children and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
