Funeral services for Ben Mulder, Jr., 72, of Rock Valley, Iowa, were held October 26, 1992 in Calvin Christian Reformed Church, Rock Valley, with interment in Valley View Cemetery.

He died Wednesday, October 21, 1992, in Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Mr. Mulder was born November 3, 1919 near Sioux Center, Iowa.

On September 4, 1941 he married Kathryn Swier in Doon, Lyon county, Iowa and then he served in the U. S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945.

After the war, he and his wife farmed in the Hull, Sioux county, Iowa, and Doon, Lyon county, Iowa areas until they retired to Rock Valley in 1986.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Daniel and Phillip, both of Doon, and Duane of Arlington, South Dakota; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (JoAnn) Foster of Ridgecrest, California; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Fred of Ellsworth, Minnesota and three sisters, Lillian Vande Vegte of Lakewood, California, Mrs. Oscar (Gert) DeVries of Inwood and Mrs. John (Margaret) Den Boer of Reading, Minnesota.
