Funeral services for Henry A. Scholten, 88, formerly of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, were held August 6, 1992 in First Presbyterian Church with interment in Hills of Rest Memorial Park.

He died August 2, 1992 in Covington heights Nursing Home.

Mr. Scholten was born May 18, 1904 in Sioux county, Iowa and graduated from Doon, Lyon county, Iowa High School. He attended Central College in Pella, Iowa. He moved to Sioux alls in 1930 and was a certified public accountant. In 1932 he founded Henry Scholten & Company, with which he was associated for 39 years,

On June 23, 1931, he married Helen Slove in Pella.

He held memberships or served on the boards of the South Dakota Board of Accountancy for 25 years, and had been a past president, life honorary member of the South Dakota CPA Association, Sioux Falls Rotary Club for 47 years. Unity Masonic Lodge No. 130, Scottish rite Bodies of Sioux Falls, El Riad Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters and on the advisory council of the University of South Dakota School of business for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathryn Zytowski of Ames Iowa, and Myra Swanson of Seattle, Washington,; four grandchildren and one sister, Grace Weatherly of Sioux FallS.
