Funeral services for Henrietta Beek, 81, of George, Lyon county, Iowa, were held July 21, 1992 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, George, with interment in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery west of the town.

She died July 18, 1992 at her home.

Henrietta Willemssen was born October 22, 1910 at George. The family moved to Ellsworth, Minnesota, where she grew up and attended country school.

On March 4, 1930, she married Edward Beek. They farmed southwest of George.

Her husband died in 1977.

Survivors include five sons, Harlan of Paynesville, Minnesota, John of Boyden, Iowa, David of New York City, New York, Eilert “E.J.” of Mankato, Minnesota and Stephen of George; six daughters, Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Bruns of George, Mrs. Lowry (Mary) Fredrichson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Bernard (Sallie) DeBar of St. Paul, Minnesota, Mrs. Ronald (Glenda) Noordsy of Pella, Iowa, Mrs. Gary (Rebecca) Taber of Dobbs Ferry, New York and Mrs. Gary (Esther) William of Edina, Minnesota; 26 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Eilert of Luverne, Minnesota and Rev. Calvin of Shakopee, Minnesota.
