Funeral services for H. Ruth Roozing, 79, of Newberg, Oregon, were held July 2 in the Newberg Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with interment in Valley View Memorial Park.

She died of kidney failure June 28, 1992, in her home.

H. Ruth Drenth was born January 8, 1922 in Ellsworth, Rock county, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school in Ellsworth. She graduated from high school in 1939.

She then attended Westmar Teachers College in LeMars, Iowa, graduating in 1941. She began teaching in Lyon county, Iowa.

In December, 1944, she married Stanley Roozing in Ellsworth. They moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1950 and to Newberg July 1, 1952.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mary Christy and Ruth Roozing, both of Portland; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Edward and Arthur Drenth, both of Ellsworth and two sisters, Louise Grosse of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jeannette Reisdorfer of Lismore, Minnesota.
