ROSS, Emily Josephine (Kline) 1850-1932
Emily Josephine Ross, daughter of Solomon and Anna Freeman Kline, was born at Collinsville, Ill., March 26, 1850., died at her home in Doon, Iowa, December 21, 1932. On July 5, 1868 she was united in marriage to Casper A. Ross and to them were born four children: Jesse O. Ross, of Luverne, Minn. Charley H. Ross, who died July 16, 1921, Jennie L. Anderson, who has been with her mother the last year or more, and Perle C. Ross of Portland, Ore. Death came into this home July 16, 1877, and took the husband, Casper A. Ross. Later Mrs Ross was married to George G. Ross, brother of her first husband, and to this union were born two children: Edwin A. Ross of HanleyFalls, Minn. and Floyd G. Ross of Beresford, S.Dak. Mrs Ross was a faithful wife and mother, and a kind neighbor; She was a wide reader and read the paper the morning of her death. She was a member of the Congregational church of Doon. Mrs Ross leaves to mourn her death: Her aged husband, five children, 31 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and host of relatives and friends.
