Funeral services for Peter A. Kruse, 84, of George, Lyon county, Iowa were held May 23, 1992 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, George, with interment in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery west of town. He died May 20, 1992 at his home.

Mr. Kruse was born September 26, 1907 in Little Rock, Lyon county, Iowa. He moved with his parents to the White-Toronto, South Dakota, area as a young child. He attended school in Argo Township.

On February 14, 1935, he married Christine Block of Corona, South Dakota.

They farmed in the White and Toronto area in South Dakota. Until 1956 he was custodian at the Astoria, South Dakota, High School. In 1964 they moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he worded as a janitor at the state highway department. After retiring, they moved to Westbrook, Minnesota, for four years. In 1977 they moved back to George, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles of Webster Grove, Missouri and Edward of Sibley, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Wally (Alida) Quenomoen of Montevideo, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, George of Bigelow, Minnesota, and three sisters, Grace Gehring of Columbus, Nebraska, Helen Morris of White, South Dakota and Irene Odegaard of Rapid City, South Dakota.
