Funeral services for Gerrit Faber of Hills, Rock county, Minnesota were held May 18, 1992 with interment in the church cemetery.

He died Thursday, May 14, 1992 in Sioux Valley Foundation Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha county, South Dakota.

Mr. Faber was born July 8, 1927 in Rock Valley, Sioux county, Iowa and attended school there and later farmed.

On March 9, 1950, he married Harriet Faber. They farmed for two years on his parents’ farm and then moved to Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa. He was employed with John Morrell Company in Sioux Falls from 1954 until retiring in 1986.

He and his family moved to Beaver Creek, Rock county, Minnesota, in 1962 where he farmed part-time. They moved to Buena Park, California in 1986 and was custodian in Anaheim Christian Reformed Church. The moved back to Hills, Minnesota in July, 1991.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gary and Duane, both of Luverne, Minnesota, and Wendell of Garretson, South Dakota; three daughters, Mrs. Gene (Audrey) DeSmet of Hills, Mrs. Erwin (Kathy) Rozeboom of Beaver Creak and Mrs. Michael (Trudy) Acevedo of Anaheim; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren one brother, Case of Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa and one sister, Mrs. Jake (Gertrude) Meendering of Inwood.
