Funeral services for Myrtle Jan Penners, 93, of Stanley, Wisconsin, were held May 20, 1992 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa with interment in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She died Thursday, May 14, 1992 in Victory Memorial Nursing Home in Stanley.

Myrtle Martin was born December 13, 1898 in Avery, Missouri. She moved with her family to Jasper, Minnesota, in 1922.

On August 17, 1925 she married Francis Penners in Pipestone, Minnesota. They lived in Florida. He preceded her in death. She lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa from 1939 until moving in 1982 to be closer to her daughter in Wisconsin.

Survivors include on son, Francis Jr. of Corona, California; one daughter, Mrs. James (JoAnn) Brown of Withee, Wisconsin; one step-son, Warren Penners of DeLeon Springs, Florida; one step-daughter, June Ormand of Daytona, Florida; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three step-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Edna Nelson of Inwood and Una Nerison of Rapid City, South Dakota.
