John Weaver, age 82, of Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa, died on Friday, April 24, 1998 at Royal C. Johnson Veterans Memorial Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D. Services were held on Monday, April 27, 1998, at First Reformed Church in Inwood, with burial in Richland Cemetery.

Mr. Weaver was born on November 25, 1915, in Platte, South Dakota, the son of Henry and Lucy (Dykema) Weaver. He served in the army during World War II. On December 19, 1944 he married Henrietta Noteboom in Okaton, South Dakota, where they were involved in ranching.

They moved to Inwood in 1957, where they owned and operated various businesses including Little John's Shoe Store, Little John's Clover Farm Grocery store, and Little John's Campers for eight years. After retiring he did woodworking and furniture refinising for many people in the area.

He was a member of the Inwood VOlunteer Fire Department, the Commercial Club and First Reformed Church and also volunteered at Fellowship Village.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Bill of Egan, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Henrietta) Junge of Sanborn and Mrs. Dave (Judy) Murphy of Inwood; four grandchildren; one brother, Arent of Wessington Springs, S.D.; and one sister, Mrs. Jack (Grace) Roghair of Luverne, Minnesota.
