Jennie Kooistra, age 92, of Inwood, died on Thursday, April 23, 1998 at Fellowship Village, Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa. Services were held on Saturday at Christian Reformed Church, Inwood, with burial in Richland Cemetery.

Jennie Kampema was born on Oct. 24, 1905 at Hornick. The family moved to near Rock Valley when she was two.

On Feb. 9, 1928 she married Martin Kooistra at Rock Valley. They farmed near Rock Valley and Hudson, S.D. until moving to a farm near Hawarden in 1940. They returned to the Inwood area in 1950 and farmed until 1970. They moved into Inwood in 1974. She moved to Fellowship Village on Jan. 8, 1996.

Survivors include her husband; four sons: John of Beaver Creek, Minn., Richard of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, Willis of Inwood and Harvey of Grandville, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Marlene) Van't Land of Inwood; a special nephew Lloyd Kempema of Kersey, Colorado; two brothers, John and Herman, both of Rock Valley; and 77 other descendants.
