Henry Berghorst 1918-1992

Funeral services for Henry Berghorst, 73, of Renner, South Dakota, were held Monday, March 16, 1992 in community Reformed Church, Sioux Falls, Minnehaha county, South Dakota with interment in Pioneer Cemetery, rural Baltic, Minnehaha county, South Dakota.

He died Thursday, March 12, 1992 in McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Mr. Berghorst was born November 11, 1918 in Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa. He grew up in the Beaver Creek and Hills, Minnesota area where he attended school.

On February 28, 1945 he married Hermina Van Holland in Hills. They operated a dairy in Norwalk, California until he moved to South Dakota where he dairy farmed in the Corson and Brandon area for 30 years. He retired in 1981 and moved to the Renner area.

Survivors include his wife, one son, three daughters, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one sister.
