Funeral services for Mrs. Twyla K. Christensen, age 63 of Flandreau, South Dakota, were held on Monday, Sept. 28, 1981, at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Flandreau. Burial was in the Flandreau Union Cemetery.

She died on Thursday, Sept. 24, 1981, at the Flandreau hospital after a long illness.

Twyla Stoup was born on January 11, 1918 at Inwood, Lyon County, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stoup. She married Earl Christensen on Nov. 12, 1941. A school teacher for several years, Mrs. Christensen also helped her husband in farming. They moved to Flandreau in 1953.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Randy (Rhonda) Plummer, Flandreau; two grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Schmidt, Mission Hills, Calif.; and two brothers, Dale and Homer, Glendale, Calif.
