Funeral services for Cornelius DeBoer, age 86, of rural Little Rock, Lyon county, Iowa, were held on Sept. 22, 1981 at the Walton Funeral Home in Sibley, Iowa. Burial was in Holman township cemetery at Sibley, Osceola county, Iowa.

He died on Friday, September 18, 1981 at his daughter;s home in rural Little Rock.

DeBoer was born on May 13, 1895, to Jacob and Dora (Freese) DeBoer in Lyon county, Iowa. He was a lifelong farmer in the county, except for his years of service with the army during World War I.

On Feb. 14, 1920 he married Ida Kruger. In 1966 he retired and in February 1980 he moved to Little Rock.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Clarice) Bergman, Little Rock, and Mrs. Carl (Eunice) Meyer, Bellflower, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs Grace Kruger, George, and Mrs. Jane Pap, Rock Valley, Sioux county, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
