A lifelong resident of Lyon County, and daughter of Patrick and Jane Kelly.

Agnes Kelly dies; set mass Tuesday a.m. at Holy Name

Agnes Kelly, 69, Lyon county and longtime resident of Rock Rapids, died early Sunday afternoon at Merrill Pioneer Community hospital, where she had been admitted on Saturday.

Rosaries will be recited at the Jongewaard chapel at 8 o'clock tonight (Monday) and requiem mass will be at Holy Name church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. V. E. Kollasch will officiate with interment in the church cemetery. Bearers will be Vernon Kelly, Bernard Hall, Donald Doherty, Harold Donner, John McGuire and Frank Herbert.

Agnes Kelly was born near Alvord on January 12, 1894, the daughter of Patrick and Jane Kelly. She attended and graduated from the Alvord Public school and Our Lady of Angels school in Clinton. Miss Kelly taught school in Lyon county after graduation until ill health forced her retirement five years ago.

She is survived by three sisters, Florence and Lucille of Rock Rapids and Mrs James Spain of Des Moines, and a brother, John F. Kelly of Alvord. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Charles, Joe and Clarence. Clarence died just two weeks ago.
