MOELLER, LESSITTA - 1843 - 1939
Larchwood. Funeral services will be held in the Community church here at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Lessitta Moeller, one of the early pioneers of Iowa, who died last Wednesday after an illness of only a few days. A short prayer service will be held at the Moeller home at 1:30. Burial will be in the Larchwood cemetery. She was 96 years old, born April 12, 1843 in Boitzenberg, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Boehnke. She came to America in 1867, and was married to William Moeller in 1868, locating at Davenport, Iowa, for a few years, and later moving to Larchwood, where the family have since resided.

Nine children were born to this unison, four sons and five daughters. Surviving are three sons, Charles of Gillette, Wyoming, Henry and Louis of Larchwood, Mrs. Peter Claussen, 501 North Spring Ave., Sioux Falls, and Mrs. T.G. Bennett, 1104 East Sixth St., Sioux Falls, and Mrs. George Hodson, Gary, South Dakota. There are 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. The 2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Klock of Sioux Falls. The husband, one son and two daughters preceded her in death.
