Patricia Maae, 56, of Boyden, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, N.C.

Services were Wednesday at First Reformed Church, Boyden, with interment in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, Inwood.

Patricia was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Rock Rapids, the daughter of Ogene Leroy and Ann (Gorter) Monen. As a child, the family lived in Boyden and California. She graduated from LaQuinta High School in 1965.

On Sept. 24, 1965, she married Tui Maae in California. She worked for K-Products in Orange City and Aalf's Manufacturing in Sheldon until it closed in 1999. She then attended Northwest Iowa Community College where she earned an associate degree in clerical accounting in 2001. She also worked for Mid-Sioux Opportunity Inc. in Sioux Center.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy of Sheldon and Daniel of Boyden; two daughters, Mrs. Chris (Kristina) Frobeen of Madison, N.C., and Lisann Masquat of Summerfield, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; her parents of Boyden; three brothers, Jim of Olivehurst, Calif., Larry of Boyden and Harold of Spencer, and four sisters, Linda Balyard of Spencer, Pam Keizer of Kearney, Neb., and Ninon Lloyd and Tina Jepsen, both of Storm Lake.
