Were held Thursday in Grace Episcopal Church with Rev. Clifford Ott officiating. Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday 1/18/1972 in Jamestown hospital at the age of 90. [Note: One of the pall bearers was the uncle of Howard Young's best friend who in 2004 lives in Devils Lake, North Dakota]

Attending the services from a distance were Mr. & Mrs. George M. Thompson of Sun City, Arizona.

Born May 19, 1881 at Doon, Iowa, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bowers. She attended school at Doon and taught for a time at Willow City, N.D. Her marriage to Alfred Reginald Thompson took place Dec. 26, 1905 at Doon, and in 1907 they moved to Jamestown where the home has been since. Mr. Thompson died Oct. 18, 1954. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and a longtime member of the church choir and Grace Guild. She is survived by one son, George M. Thompson, Bismark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Reginald, her parents, and three sisters.
