Funeral services for Trena (Mrs. Dick) Siebrands, age 85, were held on Friday, June 21, 1974 at Hope Reformed Church in rural George, Iowa, with Rev. Victor Augsburger officiating. Trena died on June 18, 1974 at Merrill Pioneer hospital in Rock Rapids. She had been in poor health for an extended period of time. Burial was in the Hope Reformed Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Siebrands (Trientje) was born Trena Goldhorn, daughter of Ben and Margaret (Harms) Goldhorn, on Sept. 13, 1888 at George, Iowa.

She married Dick Siebrands on June 1, 1910, and then farmed northwest of here.

She is survived by there sons: Ben, Laurence and Richard, all at George; by three daughters: Margaret (Mrs. Henry Krull Jr.) of Beaver Creek, Minn.; Leota (Mrs. Jack Gerken) of George; and LaVonne (Mrs. Alfred Klaassen) of Ellsworth, Minn.; 17 grand children and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers: Harm and Eilert of George, and Alvin of Cherokee; and by there sisters: Mrs. William Siebrands of George, Mrs. Henry Bruns of George, and Mrs. Earl Lewark of Rock Rapids, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 26, 1970; by one daughter, Elvina in 1936; by one grandson; two brothers and three sisters.

Vogelaar Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Trena Goldhorn was born September 13, 1888 at rural George, Iowa, a daughter of Ben and Margaret (Harms) Goldhorn and lived to the age of 85 years 9 months and 5 days, having died June 18, 1974.

She leaves to mourn her passing, three sons: Ben, Lawrence, Richard; three daughters: Margaret ( Mrs. Henry Krull Jr.), Leota (Mrs. Jack Gerken), LaVonne (Mrs. Alfred Klaassen); 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brother, Harm, Eilert, Alvin Goldhorn; three sisters: Minnie Siebrands, Christine (Mrs. Henry Bruns), Anna Lewark.
