Funeral services for Pete H. Siebrands, age 73, of Doon, were held on Saturday, November 18, 1989 at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley, Iowa with interment in Hillside Cemetery in Doon; Rev. Ed Van Holland officiated.

Pete died on Wednesday, November 15, 1989 in Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 1 day.

Pete was born on March 14, 1916 in George, Iowa. He served in the Navy during World War II, and married Elayne Kruger on October 12, 1940, in Rock Rapids, Iowa.

He owned and operated Fashion Floor Covering Company in Doon, Lyon county, Iowa, until retiring in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Loyal "Butch" of Doon; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Valeta) Wells of De Forest, Wisconsin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ben (Caroline) Dreesen of Little Rock.
