Funeral services were held here Saturday afternoon, May 23, in the Methodist church for Miss Christine Johnson,81, who died Wednesday, May 20, 1953 about three o'clock in the Swedish Lutheran home, Boone, where she had lived the past 15 years.
Rev. Paul Huscher officiated at the service, which was at 2 o'clock in the church following services in the Sater residence. Miss Irene Hasche was organist and Mrs. Craig Vinson, soloist.
Pallbearers were Glen Allbright, Vernon Holliday, William Peterson, Carl Olson, Gilbert Hanson and Virtus Vogel.
Miss Johnson was born in Mosjoen, Norway, May 15, 1872 and came to Rock Rapids at the age of 19 years to live with her brother, the late Mr. Eric Johnson. Mrs.(Anna) Sater is the only surviving member (sister) of the family, three brothers having preceded her in death.
