Missing Gr-Gr-Grandfather!

I'm trying to find where my husband's gr-gr-grandfather, William McKinney, is buried. According to the "Biographical and Historical Record of Clarke County, Iowa published in 1886 he died in 1854 in Lucas County. He married Elizabeth Pynor. They had four children: Matilda, Elias, Lemuel, and Riley. Lemuel is my husband's gr-grandfather. After his death Elizabeth married a George Beal. Any help to document his death and/or find where he is buried would be appreciated.
