Jonathan Webb and Rebecca Ruth Hawkins children. Abel is listed as theirs in Ruth's Will. Another child that many in Ancestry says is theirs is Jemima O Webb. I did some research on her and she is Jemima Jane Webb, on her death certificate it shows father as Abel Webb and mother Phoebe Perkins not John and Ruth's. I found Phoebe Perkins a couple of times out there in Dinwiddie VA taxables listed as John Perkins do.
1st as Phoebe Smith and 2nd as Phoebe Perkins
I believe this is Abel's 1st wife. I'll have to do some research on the Perkins end of it, Smith?
I also have dna connected to Jonathan Webb and Rebecca Ruth Hawkins children. This confirms to me that they are Abel's parents.
I match with Jonathan Nathan Webb 1793, Joseph Webb 1796, and Rachel Rebecca Webb 1802 (their decendants)
1870's Census for Jemima show she is Mulatto. I believe her mother Phoebe was also. Jemima's husband lists as Mulatto. 1880 listed as White.
