I am amazed how the "story" has changed since I used to frequent the cemetary looking for the green hand..the story I remember from the 1970's is the elder Mr. Stoneking burned down a witch inside her house and as she was burning alive cut her hand off and is what holds the curse, and the reason why so many youth Stonekings died before 7 years of age..the witch cursed the family basically, witches are thick south and east of Williamson and people would not tolerate them like modern times
