IM TRYING TO LOCATE MY BLACK FAMILY WHO APPEARS IN LUCAS IOWA AROUND 1882,THE NAMES ARE MARY RAY, REOLA WALTHALL, MARY WALTHALL,IRWIN WALTHALL. NOT SURE IF FAMILY WAS THERE DURING THE MINNING DAYS OR WHAT. WAS THERE A BLACK POPULATION IN THE SAME AREA AS LUCAS? OR WERE BLACK PEOPLE IN A DIFFERENT AREA.
