Vanderbur Family Information

Hello, All.

My name is Gary Wayne Vanderbur. I currently live in Durham, NC but am originally from Russell, KS. I have been doing genealogy research on my family for a number of years now and slowly but steadily am getting a wonderful "picture" of the overall family.

Currently, I'm researching Thomas and Rebecca (Rutherford) Vanderbur and their children. Thomas is the youngest son of my end-of-the-line anscestors, Thomas G. and Elizabeth (MNU - may be Ranstead?) Vanderbur. That would make Thomas (the son) my G-G-G-Uncle.

Thomas and Rebecca had (that I am aware of) six children as follows:

Margaret, b. ABT 1863 (married John Wesley Carpenter)
Joseph, b. ABT 1866 (married Laura Cox)
Thomas Benton, b. ABT 1869 (married Ruth Mumford)
Grace Burdella, b. ABT 1871 (married Franklin Rose)
James H., b. 10-20-1873, d. 8-8-1876
Ida E., b. 1-18-1876, d. 2-13-1877

I am looking to gain any further information I can on the above, their families and subsequent families.

My goal is to reunite with my extended family and share our heritage with them.

Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.
