Carla, more on the Harp family, have now found Geo. W. Harp, his father who was believed to be Peter by some was wrong and have now gotten that info. Check out the info. John Harp Jr.b.1816 m. Mathilda, maybe Butler, 1850 Fayette Co. Ky census. 1860 census, Mithilda is gone but children added, and Geo. is 16 not 14, then the 1870 Pennsylvania Twp., Mason Co. Ill. census,
John, 3 kids, then Geo. 26, Ann 17, Iris?, maybe Lu's real name, and Lilly, our great grandmother.
John Harp Sr.,b.1784 m. Lear Ritter (Writter?) 1809, Boston Harp,m.Nancy, John Michael Harp 1732 Germany. I have Geo. and Lillies marriage cert. from Ill.
