Charles H. Finch, 73, passed away on February 15, 2004 in Des Moines. Services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Chariton. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.

Chuck owned and operated Finch Conoco in Chariton for 28 years. While in Chariton they were active members of the community for over 25 years. They were very active members of the Chamber of Commerce, First United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and many other civic organizations.

Chuck and Bobbie moved to Des Moines in 1989. Chuck then took a position with the Securities Bureau of the State Insurance Division.

Chuck was born, 1931, the oldest son of Ernest M. and Golda E. (James) Finch. In 1952 he married Barbara J. "Bobbie" Draegert and to this union were born three children, Christopher, Wendy and Craig.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie of Des Moines; and children, Chris (Liz) Finch of Des Moines and Wendy (Joe) Levis and Craig Finch of West Des Moines.

Arrangements were made by Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, IA.

Memorials may be made to the Za-Ga-Zig Shriners Children's Hospital.
