SARAH S. BEATTY was born in Park County, Indiana, October 15, 1847; and died
at her home in Russell, Iowa, aged 60 years, 7 months and 22 days.

She was married October 14, 1864, to EDWARD T. BEATTY. To this union were
born five children, NINA F., DORA A., CHARLES STEPHEN, THOMAS D., and ELMA M
Of these, four are living, NINA having passed before.

She united with the Presbyterian Baptist Church in August, 1876. With this
church were her church affiliations until her death. She was a loyal and
true follower of Jesus Christ.

The funeral services were held at the Bethel Church north of Russell, at 11
a.m., Monday, June 8th, conducted by Rev. D.J. Shenton.

The family wish to extend thanks to the friends and neighbors who so
generously lent aid and comfort in this recent trial and bereavement and the
