While yet a child the family moved into the neighborhood of Shelbyville,

Christ as her redeemer, in 1855 she united with the M.E. Church in which she
remained until she moved to Newbern, when she placed her church membership
in the U.B. Church, Nov. 27, 1856.

She was united in marriage with JAMES DINWDDIE, also of Monroe County, Iowa,
and to this union 8 children were born, four boys and four girls, of the
latter, one died in infancy and one in young womanhood. The surviving

She is also survived by one brother, J.W. EVANS, of Muldane, Kans., and
two sisters, MRS. H.E AMOS, of Newton, Ia., and MRS. MARY C. WILLIAMS, of
Albia, and a host of friends who were drawn to her by her bright cheerful
disposition and all of whom extend their sympathies to the bereaved ones in
their hour of sorrow. The cause of her death was hemorrhages of the brain.

Funeral services were held at the U.B. Church and were conducted by E.A.
Bennett. The floral offerings were beautiful. A large concourse of people
were in attendance both at the church and at Newbern's beautiful cemetery,
where the remains were laid to rest.
