OBITUARY Ed S Anderson

Ed S Anderson, son of Neil and Sarah Anderson was born south of Chariton, September 19, 1872, and passed away at the gardener nursing home November 29, 1953, at the age of 81 years, two months, and 10 days, having spent his entire life in and around Chariton.

On December 5, 1895, he was united in marriage to Ellen M Parsons. To this union, one son Earl was born, who passed away at the age of 18 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Ellen and two half brothers, J F Anderson, and C C Anderson and four nieces, and three nephews.
In middle life he accepted Christ as his savior and always lived a good Christian life. He was a kind hearted man, and well thought of by all who knew him.
After marriage he purchased a farm south of Chariton, living there until 1917. When he left the farm he bought the property on Auburn Ave. where they still remained until 2 weeks ago when he took ill and they were moved to the Gardener nursing home where he received the best of care.

He owned and operated a garage for several years. After selling this business he worked on a farm southeast of Russell which he owned until five years ago when his health failed and he was unable to work.

Funeral services were held Wednesday December 2, 1:30 pm at the Beardsley funeral home with the Rev A E Beals officiating. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.
