RUTH COOPER

Ruth Cooper passed away at home in Newton, Iowa on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at the age of 88. She was born and raised in Chariton, Iowa. Ruth lived most of her life in the Reasnor/Monroe area where she raised her family. After the death of her husband John, she moved to Newton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Cooper; her parents (Verne & Marjorie Mumford); two sisters, (Mary Jessip and Martha George); and a brother (Gerald).

Ruth is survived by 5 children: Rev. John (Mary) Cooper of Eldon, Cathie (John) Stilley of Kansas City, Missouri, Jeff (Sandy) Cooper of Monroe, Scott Cooper of Newton and Brad (Jennifer) Cooper of West Des Moines; plus 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date.
