Thursday, February 20, 1908MRS. MARY ENSLOW departed this life at the home of her son, JOHNE ENSLOW,
Feb. 13, 1908, after a prolonged illness. Her maiden name was BELL and she
was born Nov. 10, 1834, in Juniata County, Pa. She was married to WILLIAM
ENSLOW, Nov. 10, 1840. They came to Iowa in 1853, to Lee County, where her
husband died in 1865. She came with her family to Lucas County in 1868, and
has resided here ever since. She was the mother of nine children, of whom
seven survive her, five of whom were permitted to be with her in her last
illness and when death came.She was an affectionate mother, a loyal friend, a kind neighbor, and her
kindred and friends will miss her greatly. The funeral services were held
on Friday at 2 o'clock, from the home, in charge of Rev. A.W. Armstrong, and
interment took place in Derby Cemetery.
